PURPOSE:To provide an excellent ceramic composed of a pair of electrodes and a conductive ceramic sintering, which is bonded porously by silicon carbide and has a specific resistance value, by performing heat emission while the temp. difference between the perimeters of sheath heater and the area free of sheath heater is nullified substantially. CONSTITUTION:A conductive ceramic sintering constitutes a heater which emits heat using electric energy, wherein the specific resistance has a value between 0.1-100OMEGA.cm. The resultant ceramic heater 4 includes a plate-shaped ceramic sintering, electrode layers 2, 2 formed by fusion spray of Al material along the mating two edges of the rear surface of the sintering, and an insulative portion 1 formed on the front and rear surfaces of sintering 4a except where the electrode layers 2, 2 are provided. Further the heater 4 has electrode plates 3, 3 made of Al formed on the front surfaces of the electrode parts 2, 2 by means of ultrasonic welding process. Heat emission is conducted so that there is no temp. difference between the perimeters of the sheath heater and the area with no sheath heater. |
