PURPOSE:To eliminate a state wherein a display character string is hard to see by automatically switching display means when the number of columns of a character display inputted to the visual display means of the information processor such as a credit card transaction processor increases. CONSTITUTION:A display character counting part 28 counts characters inputted on a keyboard 4 for inputting the character string and a display character string generation controller 29 once judging that the character string exceeds the number of columns with which characters can be displayed with normal character size determines how many specific high-order columns are displayed with small character size, and one of plural kind of large and small character sizes stored in a character size storage part 3 is selected; and the low-order column part of the display character string are displayed with the normal character size and the high-order column part is varied to the small character size and displayed. |
