PURPOSE: To eliminate a need of complicated arithmetic operation about trivial operands. CONSTITUTION: At the time of execution of arithmetic operation, operands are transmitted to an arithmetic unit for execution of complicated arithmetic operation, and they are transmitted to an operand check mechanism which judges whether one or both of operands is an example of specific trivial operands or not. If one of operands is one example of specific trivial operands, complicated arithmetic operation is stopped, and the check mechanism quickly outputs the result of arithmetic operation in accordance with the detected trivial operand. |
