PURPOSE:To greatly shorten the development time of software by making a connection with the ROM address of a target machine through a ROM probe. CONSTITUTION:A debugger program which uses NMI, a communication program which uses a parallel communication I/O, and an IPL are compactly printed in a ROM first. When a connection with a host computer is made through the parallel communication port, a system for developing software of the target machine is transported to a host personal computer. Thus, the system is constituted and then the software is developed on the host computer. The software once completed on the host is transferred to the RAM of a ROM debugger through the parallel communication port and tested on the target machine. Problem points which are generated, are corrected on the host computer and the software after being corrected is sent again to the ROM debugger and a test is repeated on the target machine. |
