PURPOSE:To decide a code as a user intends by regarding a key corresponding to the lowest or highest pitch among keys which are pressed for chord specification as the root of the specified chord when the specified code is special. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 12 is stored with a chord decision table which has plural code decision data and a keyboard 13 has 61 keys 13a for specifying the range from 'C2' to 'C7' and outputs keying data indicating a pitch corresponding to a key to a CPU 11 when the key is depressed. When the kind of the specified chord is 'aug.' or 'dim.7', the root of the specified chord is set as the sound name of the key corresponding to the lowest pitch among the keys which are pressed together. Then the chord number and tone name number of the root are found and the CPU 11 judges the specified chord and generates a musical tone regarding the chord outside through a musical tone output device 16. |
