PURPOSE:To provide a wheel slip detecting method for realizing early stage detection of a point of time when wheel slip is recovered and a point of time when slip takes place again after recovery from wheel slip before readhesion of wheel. CONSTITUTION:The slip detecting method comprises a step for storing a speed V1 at the time of current measurement and speeds (V2... Vn) at the time of previous measurements in a memory section 3, a step for operating an average acceleration or deceleration based on the speed data for every measurement at an operating section 4, and a step for detecting wheel slip based on the average acceleration or deceleration thus operated. Upon detection of wheel slip, the operating section 4 operates variations per unit time of average acceleration/deceleration at the time of current measurement and previous measurements. When the variation exceeds a predetermined positive or negative value, entire data or the entire data other than current data is substituted by lowest speed data or highest speed data. |
