PURPOSE:To curtail the number of program steps of the image processor such as a graphic processor, etc., and to enhance its processing capacity. CONSTITUTION:A graphic processor, etc., are provided with a thick line plotting mechanism containing a pattern memory PM for holding dot patterns of (i) rows x (j) columns prepared in accordance with various thick lines, a thick line coordinate generating part BLCG for deriving a center path between two points designated in accordance with a prescribed algorithm, and a pattern selector PS for referring to each dot of the dot pattern successively along the center path in accordance with row selecting signals A0-A4 outputted from an i-scale counter CTRA and column selecting signals B0-B4 outputted from a j-scale counter CTRB. In such a manner, by only designating a start point and an end point, and the kind of lines various thick in which the pattern in its line width direction is not constant can be plotted by a single command. |
