The appts. comprises a unit to display objects as polygons and uses a processor (12) to allocate and store an index for each apex of a polygon common to other polygons. A control unit (16) takes the apex data and index sequentially and passes it to a unit (18) for transformation into spatial co-ordinates. A parallel unit (22) stores common data in a second memory unit in order that apexes common to a number of polygons are only processed once. ADVANTAGE - Improved speed of computer graphics manipulation by removal of redundant processing time.
