PURPOSE:To provide the system for generating a dictionary by generating word information taking character strings constituting the word in a database as heading character strings and registering them in a batch. CONSTITUTION:A word in the database being an object 1 of an operation instruction is acquired by a same entry generation processing section 2. Character strings are generated based on the word to make it the heading character string of dictionary information storing the word information, and a dictionary 3 having word information having correspondence relation with the words in the database is generated. Based on the generated dictionary, a different description heading generation processing section 4 takes character strings which can be obtained by replacing the full size character of the heading character string with a half size character, the half size character with the full size character, characters written in the HIRAGANA (Japanese syllabary) system with characters written in the KATAKANA (the square form of the Japanese syllabary) system, and characters written in the KATAKANA system with the characters written in the HIRAGANA system, partial character strings common to the heading character strings, and character strings which can be obtained by arranging the group of head characters and the group of end characters of the partial character string in the heading character string as new heading character strings, and generating the dictionary 3. |
