PURPOSE:To optionally set a conversion function, used for the distortion correction of a speech input system, according to a user microphone. CONSTITUTION:The same sound is inputted to the user microphone 2 and a reference microphone 1 and then a conversion function estimating unit 6 previously estimates a 1st conversion function 7 so that the transfer characteristics of the user microphone 2 are matched with the transfer characteristics of the reference microphone 1; and a speech signal which is inputted as a user input digital speech signal 5 to a 1st converter 8 through an A-D converter 4 is corrected to obtain a 1st estimated digital speech signal 9 after the transfer characteristics of the user microphone 9 are matched with the transfer characteristics of the reference microphone 1. Then this 1st estimated digital speech signal 9 is supplied to a 2nd converter 11 to which a 2nd conversion function 10 is inputted to correct differences in transfer characteristics between the reference microphone 1 and a microphone for adjustment, and consequently the transfer characteristics of the user microphone 2 are matched with those of the microphone for adjustment. |
