PURPOSE:To provide a required copy only by carrying out selection and practice of a mode without paying attention to the kind of recording paper stored in a paper feeding device (whether both sides of it are blank or whether one side is already recorded) in a picture image forming device furnished with a copy mode to carry out picture image formation on the back of the recording paper one side of which is already recorded and a mode to carry out both side copying. CONSTITUTION:In a picture image forming device having a paper feeding device 31 consisting of a paper feeding tray to store recording paper and a paper feeding means to feed the recording paper in the paper feeding tray in an image forming device and an intermediate paper feeding device to record a picture image on both sides of the recording paper, a picture image existence detection means 39 to detect whether a picture image is recorded on one side of the recording paper stored in the paper feeding device 31 or not and a control part to select a paper feeding tray storing the recording paper of the size and the kind suitable for a both side recording mode by way of receiving a detection signal from the picture image existence detection means 39a-c are provided. |
