PURPOSE:To provide an abnormal fixing diagnosis device by which the surface temperature of a fixing roller is restrained to be equal to or under specified temperature regardless of machine sequence and the size of the width of passing paper, and the peripheral equipment of the fixing roller is not damaged even when runaway occurs. CONSTITUTION:A control part 21 is provided with a machine sequence decision circuit 25 and a passing paper size decision circuit 26, and the circuits 25 and 26 are connected to an abnormality decision circuit 28 through a temperature ratio selection circuit 27. The ratios of the end part surface temperature and the central part surface temperature of the fixing roller 14 are plurally and previously set in the circuit 27 based on the machine sequence and the size of passing paper. Then, the initial value of the abnormality decision value of the end part surface temperature is previously inputted in the circuit 28. The initial value is corrected by a specified ratio, and the correction value is compared with the end part surface temperature. |
