<p>PURPOSE:To make a system impervious to influence on account of the difference of a font compared to a method for extracting a shape characteristic so as to highly precisely recognize a character by applying variable spectrum analysis. CONSTITUTION:More than one character are printed in the page 12 of a document. A scanner 14 scans the printed character, and the scanner 14 gives scanned information 16 to a scanner controller 18. The scanner controller 18 supplies character file information to an appropriate file medium 20. A recognition means 30 is constituted as a variable spectrum analysis mechanism. Character file information which is inputted by the recognition means 30 and is accumulated in the file medium 20 is compared with a standard aspect supplying a tuning aspect and a recognition aspect is obtained. The recognition aspect is supplied in the system of a code such as ASCII.</p> |
