METHOD FOR CONNECTION OF CIRCUIT BOARD

PURPOSE: To provide a curved surface ultrasonic converting element array which has a flexible mutual connection system. CONSTITUTION: A curved surface ultrasonic converting array is made by cutting a flat converting plate 12 fixed to a flexible supporting plate 11 into plural segments 14 which are to be hinged and connected by the plate. This supporting plate is bent to make a curved surface, and a conductive trace of a flexible circuit board is connected electrically to the segment. This circuit board with plural branches is bent perpendicularly so that its traces are practically matched. The traces coming from those branches are connected electrically to a pin socket connector device.
