PURPOSE: To improve the performance of various devices by making the relation between the input and the output of a system coincide with a mathematical relation and sending a discriminated structure to a parameter evaluator. CONSTITUTION: Process input/output data 21 is inputted to a response parameter classifier 22 and a parameter evaluator 25. The response parameter classifier 22 discriminates the structure of the considered system. A transfer function expressing a discriminated structure 24 is inputted from the response parameter classifier 22 to the parameter evaluator 25. The parameter evaluator 25 uses a model discriminated in the transfer function 24 to obtain an initial value of a parameter 27 related to the transfer function. The parameter is repeatedly processed in the internal process until actual input/output data 21 coincides with processing input/output data forecated with the parameter evaluated in the discriminated structure.
