PURPOSE:To enhance heat transfer efficiency and simplify structure as well. CONSTITUTION:During cold storage time, a coolant 60 is housed in an ice heat storage tank 50. The brine 70 cooled in a brine cooling tank 50 with a first valve 13 closed is supplied to the ice heat storage tank 10. When the first valve 13 and a second valve 31 are opened while a pump is still being operated, the coolant 60 will move from the ice heat storage tank 10 to a heat exchanger 30 by way of a transportation line 20 by differential specific weight. When the pump 40 is halted and the second valve 31 is closed, the brine 70 falls by self-weight from the end of the second valve 31. When an air to be cooled is introduced from an air suction pipe, and forced the air to flow between the clearance of the coolant 60 and discharged from a vent pipe 33, heat exchange takes place on the surface of the coolant 60, thereby carrying out cooling operation. |
