PURPOSE:To perform ground monitoring for an on-satellite switch operation by letting unused data or a synchronizing burst be a switch operation monitoring burst. CONSTITUTION:In order to monitor an operation of a switch SW1-2, a switch operation monitoring burst(SMB) is transmitted from an earth station U1 in an area of an up-beam, and received by each earth station D1, D2 and D3 a down-beam, and sent to a monitor 12 through a circuit controller 10. The monitor 12 sends a transmitting instruction of the switch operation monitoring burst to the controller 10. The controller 10 allocates a burst which is not used as the switch operation monitoring burst, transmits a switch pattern corresponding to a monitoring switch to a switch controller 3 of a satellite, and transmits a transmitting instruction and a receiving instruction respectively to the earth station for transmitting the SMB and the earth station for receiving it. A result of receiving the SMB is collected by the controller 10, and whether a fault exists in the on-satellite switch or not is decided by the monitor 12. |
