PURPOSE:To decrease the blotting of an image and to improve image quality by controlling so that the circumferentical speed of a belt may be a specified value. CONSTITUTION:For example, at the time of applying a power source to a recording device, a mark sensor 37 detects a marker 36 provided in a non-printing area on an intermediate transfer belt 32 and outputs a mark sensor signal. A control part 41 resets a counter 38 according to the first mark sensor signal from the mark sensor 37. The counter 38 starts counting clocks from the control part 41 according to a reset signal from the control part 41. Next, it counts the clocks again until the mark sensor 37 detects the mark 36, and outputs a counted value to the control part 41. The control part 41 reads out motor driving frequency corresponding to the counted value from the counter 38 from a table 40, and gives a speed command to a motor 42 through a driving circuit 43. Thus, the circumferential speed of the belt 32 is corrected to be the specified value. |
