PURPOSE:To provide a document processor which can facilitate the control of a format data file. CONSTITUTION:The corresponding format data are held in a standard value storing area 410, a basic style storing area 420, an individual step-down style storing area 430, and an individual step-down attribute storing area 440, respectively. A standard value acquiring part 320, a basic style acquiring part 330, an individual step-down style acquiring part 340 and an individual step-down attribute acquiring part 350 acquire the attributes from each corresponding storing area and evolve these attributes to each corresponding data area. An overlapping processing part 360 secures a temporary storage area 450 in a storage part 40 and also refers to the attribute data evolved into the data evolving areas 321-351. Then, the part 360 overlaps the data evolved into the data evolving areas 331, 341 and 351 on each other in regard of the text. Otherwise, the data evolved into the areas 321, 341 and 351 are overlapped with each other. These overlapping results are stored in the area 450. A layout processing part 50 lays out a structural document based on the data stored in the area 450 and displays this layout result. |
