PURPOSE:To improve not only scratching resistance but moisture permeation resistance as well, to effectively prevent the deterioration of recording layers and to improve reliability and durability by forming hard coating layers on the outside field surface sides of base materials. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer having track grooves 5 are formed on the base material 1 consisting of a thermoplastic resin. The hydrophobic hard coating layer 2 is formed on the surface on the side of the base material 1 where the recording layer 3 is not formed and the side where the base material comes into direct contact with the outside field. Further, the similar constitution is disposed on the rear side of the disk as well. Both are combined and integrated via a spacer 4, by which the both-side memory disk is formed. The hard coating layers 2 are formed by coating the base materials with hydrophobic resins, such as silicone resin, acrylic resin, melamine resin, the copolymers thereof or mixtures thereof, or compsn. imparted with a hydrophobic property by introducing hydrophobic groups to the resins having the hydrophobic property or adding hydrophobic materials thereto. |
