The invention relates to a device indicating the hardness of an elastic return member, particularly of the prestress applied to a return spring 6 of a binding element 1, particularly an alpine binding. The element comprises a member 3 for holding an end of the boot, which can move against the return force of a spring (6), and means (7, 8) for adjusting the initial prestress of the spring (6). The indicator device comprises a scale of marks along which a cursor (slide) (11), movable according to the displacement of the means for adjusting the hardness, is displaced in a relative manner. The indicator device is characterised in that it is shaped as a hermetic casing defining a leaktight volume (20), and in that it is at least partly transparent in order to enable the cursor (11) to be seen from outside the binding element. <IMAGE> |
