PURPOSE:To provide a relay station in which exchange processing between subordinate stations is attained even when a fault takes place in a line of a host relay station or between the relay station and a master station. CONSTITUTION:A line interruption detection circuit 31 of an exchange processing section 3 always monitors an outgoing signal S1 from a host station outputted from a host station side transmitter-receiver section 1 to detect occurrence of a fault in a radio line. A switch changeover control circuit 32 throws switches 33, 34 to the position of a contact (b) in response to a signal C1 to disconnect a line leading to a host station. A call detection circuit 36 detects call information from an incoming signal S2 from a subordinate station. A destination detection circuit 37 detects a destination number from the incoming signal S2. A subordinate station discrimination circuit 38 discriminates whether or not a detected destination number is that of a subordinate station. A channel allocation control circuit 35 allocates a radio channel depending on the result of discrimination. A main signal multiplexer circuit 40 uses an allocated channel and applies time division multiplexing to the main signal demultiplexed by a main signal demultiplexer circuit 39 and sends the result. |
