摘要 PURPOSE:To make the immediacy in the telescopic mode and the stability in the wide mode compatible with each other by correcting a focus lens speed optimizingly depending on a position of a zoom lens. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 119 calculates a focus lens drive speed in response to a focal voltage and sets a faster speed for a large fog and slows down the speed in the vicinity of the focal point. Furthermore, the speed is corrected depending on the iris, the focus lens drive speed slows down at the opening and increases at the stopped iris. In this case, the current zoom lens position is fetched from a zoom encoder 113. Whether or not the wide area is decided depending on a current zoom lens position, and when in the lens position, the focus lens drive speed slows down by, e.g. a multiple of 0.3, a signal driving a focus lens 105 is sent to a driver 112 to drive an actuator 109 thereby driving the focus lens 105. Furthermore, when the zoom lens position is in the middle region, the lens drive speed slows down at a multiple of 0.7.
