PURPOSE:To quickly execute a processing for recognizing a pattern by collecting data of a pattern feature part which is to be an object for recognizing a pattern to one point. CONSTITUTION:With respect to data of a feature part of a pattern to be recognized, it is scanned by using a mesh-like filter SF, and by applying a prescribed logical rule to the data extracted by this filter SF, the data is erased successively from the peripheral side of the fearture part, and the left data is recognized as the data obtained by collecting the feature part. A logical rule of the data is the logical rule by which, in principle, one data each is erased in four directions with respect to the feature part, and in the case of one data in the with direction, the erasure is not executed, an isolated point is not erased, and in the case of erasing it, a result of operation of its stage is taken into consideration. |
