PURPOSE: To provide a method and device which convert X-ray conical beam data into a value, which expresses the surface integral on an arbitrary set of planes in a Radon space to reconstitute a 3D picture by inverse Radon transform. CONSTITUTION: These method and device provide procedures which convert X-ray conical beam data (curvilinear integral passing an object 29) into Radon data (surface integral) to reconstitute a 3D CT picture by inverse Radon transform. For the purpose of determining weighted curvilinear integrals along a pair of lines on a normalized detector surface, the radial differential of each surface integral is determined by integral and by dividing the difference between weighted curvilinear integrals by a rotation angle δβ. These lines share an axis 26 of revolution and are determined as intersections between a pair of corresponding integral faces relatively rotated at the angle δβ and the normalized detector surface. These procedures are adopted to convert conical beam data to the value which expresses the surface integral on an arbitrary set of planes like a set of coaxial perpendicular faces in a random space. |
