The actuator is formed as a reluctance motor with a multiple pole, stationary stator (1) and a coaxial armature (2). The armature (2, 4) moves linearly parallel to the axes of the poles of the stator (1) in stationary bearings (21, 22) and has a coupling element (24). Three guide bars (14-16; 34-36) are fixedly arranged parallel to the surface of the stator poles (121, 321) along three surface lines at 120 deg. to each other. The armature (2, 4) has three bearings (21-23, 41-43) in the plane of the surface cooperating with the poles (121, 321), to cooperate with the guide bars (14-16, 34-36). At least one of the guide bars forms a locking guide connection at one of the bearings in the circumferential direction of the armature (2, 4). ADVANTAGE - Increased speed.
