ELECTRIC MACHINE

An electric machine has a rotor that rotates around an axis and a stator provided with a set of several C-shaped polar elements arranged around the axis at the same angular distance from each other. Each polar element forms with its base strip and with two polar fingers that project from the base strip a polar groove in which is located a stator winding. In order to improve such a machine so that with a construction as simple as possible a sufficiently reliable operation of the electric machine be ensured, the polar groove is provided with a lining located between the stator winding and each polar element. The groove lining consists of an electrically insulating flat material located between the stator winding and the polar element.
