An improved apparatus used in a system for filling containers with a required liquid to a predetermined level is disclosed. The apparatus includes an improved main valve means for controlling the flow of liquid through the apparatus and into the container. This improved main valve means includes a a flexible main valve (5), a main valve seat (1), and a main valve support (7) for supporting said flexible main valve (5) to prevent deflection of said main valve (5) away from said seat (1).
