ELECTRIC MACHINE

An electric machine has a rotor that rotates around an axis and a stator provided with a set of several C-shaped polar elements arranged around the axis at the same angular distance from each other. Each polar element surrounds a stator winding with a base strip and with two polar fingers that project from the base strip. In order to cool such an electric machine as efficiently as possible, the stator winding surrounds the axis like a ring and a cooling medium flows through the sator winding.
