A whetting device for windshield wiper blades (5) has two facing, V-shaped whetting cheeks (10) which are given a coating (3) containing abrasive grit and which take the windshield wiper blade between them. The whetting cheeks are arranged at the free ends of a tongs-like hook (1), the arms (2) of which can be moved toward each other with spring action. The whetting cheeks (10) are bent in the direction in which the windshield wiper blade is inserted and thus they delimit a front section (7) of larger angle and a back section (8) of smaller angle. |
