<p>PURPOSE:To easily reclaim a plastic scrap into fine grains, by supplying the plastic scrap onto the surface of a heating rotary drum provided with a screw thread or parallel grooves on the surface to melt, nip and twist the plastic scrap by the rotation of the drum and cutting off the plastic to a length equal to a pitch. CONSTITUTION:A plastic scrap E is thrown into a hopper tank 1 and supplied onto the surface of a heating rotary drum 13 which is provided with a screw thread or parallel grooves and rotated at a speed of 30-200m/min. A circle-divided bottom plate 16 secured in face of the drum 13 is provided with a screw thread or grooves at almost the same pitch as those on the surface of the drum. The distance G between the peaks of an inlet section A is set at 4-20mm. The distance g between the peaks of an outlet section B is set at 0.5mm or less. Long grains C are nipped, rotated and divided into fine grains D while the plastic scrap E is moved from the inlet section A to the outlet section B. The scrap is thus reclaimed.</p> |
