<p>PURPOSE:To make a soft thin sheet of improved tensile strength and elasticity with high vulcanization, efficiency, by vulcanizing a sheet made by kneading finely- pulverized waste tire grains with crude rubber. CONSTITUTION:A waste tire is finely pulverized into grains of 0.5mm or less in diameter. The grains are mixed with crude rubber, a vulcanizing agent and a vulcanization accelerator. The mixture 1 is kneaded by two rolls 2. The kneaded mixture 3 is rolled by a calender 4 so that a sheet 5 is extruded. The sheet is vulcanized. A rubber sheet is thus manufactured. The preferable weight ratio of the crude rubber to the tire grains is about 50-150 parts to 200 parts. Since the vulcanization is accelerated by the natural or artificial fibers of tire cords contained in the grains, the vulcanization is efficiently caused.</p> |
