An electrical heating device (10) for diesel fuel is proposed, which is suitable for a system of modular construction and is easy and cost-effective to build. In a disc-shaped housing (11), three disc-shaped PTC elements (32 to 34), which are respectively held and guided by two quadrantal webs (37, 38), are arranged between two plane contact discs (35, 36) in a recess (21), the said webs gripping the elements on the circumference. The PTC elements (32 to 34) and both contact discs (35, 36) are pressed by springs (43), supported on a cover plate (37) on to segmental shoulders (39) fixed to the housing so that the diesel fuel washes thoroughly around the contact discs (35, 36) in the area of the heating elements (32 to 34) thereby ensuring a good transfer of heat. <IMAGE>
