The present invention relates to a method for fixing an element to another one, as well as to an assembly obtained by this method. The assembly obtained by this method comprises a vehicle body subframe (1) to which an axle is fixed, and is characterised in that, to the subframe (1) are welded nuts (5) with a base (8) and including a tapped hole (6) located inside the subframe (1) and extended by a counterbore (7), the diameter of which is greater than that of the tapped hole (6), and emerging on the side of the axle to be fixed to the subframe (1). This assembly may be used on any type of private or commercial vehicle.
