PURPOSE:To avoid deterioration of a picture quality by changing a potential control of other process so that a potential control means containing a development bias control corresponds to the surface potential of the maximum latent image formed body, in case when control items of one electrophotographic process reaches to the limit. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when a proper latent image potential cannot be obtained even if a voltage of a primary electrostatic charger 3a reaches the maximum value which can be adjusted, the latent image potential in this case is denoted as Va, and a latent image potential standard value Vref which is set originally by a process unit 2a is changed to Va from Vref. This latent image potential standard value in case when it is changed is denoted as Varef. As for other photosensitive drums 7a-7d, when the potential is set thereafter, the drum surface potential is adjusted by using said Varef as the latent image potential standard value. After the adjustment is ended, the paper feed is executed from a paper feeding part 9. |
