<p>PURPOSE:To obtain high-grade scrap by supplying the scrap to a copper dissolving vessel housing an aq. ammoniacal soln. and transferring the scrap to a scrap washing tank having a water spraying means from the inside of the dissolving vessel. CONSTITUTION:The ferroscrap contg. copper is treated by the aq. ammoniacal soln. in the presence of oxygen, by which the copper in the scrap is selectively dissolved and continuously removed. The aq. ammoniacal soln. is housed into the copper dissolving vessel 2 of the device for executing this operation. A scrap supply means 1 for the copper dissolving vessel 2 is provided with bells 5 and funnel-shaped upper and lower two partition walls as mechanisms for preventing the dissipation of gases. The scrap washing tank 3 is provided with a washing means (water spraying means) 8. The scrap is transferred from the inside of the aq. ammoniacal soln. of the dissolving vessel 2 to the washing tank 3 by a conveyor (transfer means) 4. As a result, the degradation in working environment is prevented and the execution of the operations with a smaller number of persons is possible.</p> |
