PACKAGING DEVICE FOR CLOTH PRESSER

PURPOSE:To prevent a cushioning body from damage or detachment from a cloth presser caused by shocks of vibrations in transportation in order to accurately support the presser by making the cushioning body of thick papers or the like in the form of a rigid bridge having reinforcing parts and and supporting parts arranged in an intersecting manner. CONSTITUTION:The packaging device consists of a rectangular case 10 made of reusable paper material such as corrugated cardboard in which is stored a cloth presser (article) 13 having a handle part 14 thereon and an outer enclosing member 15 containing an electrical appliance part via a cushioning body 16. The cushioning body 16 is so shaped as to conform with the corners of the article 13 and has a plurality of face parts 16a-16d folded into a nearly square shape. The cushioning body is provided with a reinforcing part 16g wherein an extension from one end of the face part 16a is folded inwardly, its one end is positioned in a corner part 16e between the face parts 16d and 16c and its inner side is cut into a predetermined width to form a notch part 16f and with a support part 16i formed by cutting the face part 16d in engagement with the notch part 16f.
