PURPOSE: To provide a flute shape cutting tool having durability, not expensive for manufacturing, and provided with this sort of diamond cutting face, concerning a flute shaped cutting tool provided with a diamond film as one part of a cutting face. CONSTITUTION: The cutting face is in parallel with the outer face of a body and provided with slot grooves 22 adjacently extended, the slot groove 22 is provided with a polycrystal diamond film 24, the film 24 is continuously connected to the cutting face at only the upper side of the slot part so as to form the cutting edge with the slot groove 22, and hence this tool has a shear cutting angle of up to 25 deg., meanwhile durability is maintained and high cutting efficiency is maintained. |
