PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, comprising a polyphenylene sulfide having a specific melt viscosity before and after the thermosetting, an epoxy- modified ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer and a filler, excellent in toughness and heat resistance and hardly emitting gases in molding. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition is obtained by blending (A) 60-99.5wt.% polyphenylene sulfide, having >=400P melt viscosity before the thermosetting and 500-30000P melt viscosity after the thermosetting and containing 0.05-5mol% amino group based on the phenylene sulfide unit with (B) 40-0.5wt.% ethylene-alpha- olefin copolymer containing 0.5-30wt.% epoxy compound, expressed by the formula [R<1> to R<3> are H or 1-12C hydrocarbon; (m) is an integer of 1-4] and copolymerized therewith and (C) a fibrous filler (e.g. glass fiber) and/or an inorganic filler (e.g. calcium carbonate) in an amount of 0-250 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total amount of the components (A) and (B). This resin composition is excellent in toughness and heat resistance and emits a small amount of gases at a molding temperature. |
