PURPOSE:To provide an osteogenesis promoter capable of promoting osteogenesis and of also preventing pulpitis or dental pulp inflammation in addition to the usefulness for osteogenesis and to provide its production method and a composi tion containing the promoter. CONSTITUTION:This osteogenesis promoter is an extract of an animal bone and contains Mg, Si, S, Ca and Na as the essential components. For producing the osteogenesis promoter, an animal skin or an animal bone subjected to acid immersion treatment is immersed in lime, neutralized, extracted by heating, concentrated and dried. The resultant gelatin is extracted by heating. By blending the obtained product with powdery hydroxyapatite, a curable neutral osteogenetic material is obtained. An osteogenesis promoting sheet can be formed by blending the product with a chitosan sol. |
