PURPOSE: To regulate a lip gap and to uniformize the thickness of a web by providing an assembly performing the heat control type regulation of an outlet opening gap and providing heat energy sources arranged so as to leave an interval to perform operation regulating an outlet opening by expansion and contraction to the assembly. CONSTITUTION: A large number of gap control assemblies are arranged at an interval determined in the lateral direction of an apparatus 10. A push rod equipped with a heating element is connected to an assembly 70 in heat exchange relation to compensate temp. fluctuations in the vicinity of a push rod/heat element assembly. The assembly 70 is equipped with a heat exchange jacket and fixed to the main body 12 of the apparatus 10. The heat exchange jacket 72 and the heating element 80 act advantageously with respect to continuos regulation and the push rod is expanded or contracted in response to heat environment. By this constitution, a ring gap controlled by heat is regulated. When there is much heat loss, the outer surface 82 of the heat exchange jacket is covered with a heat insulating material. |
