PURPOSE:To provide a new compound capable of forming highly sensitive, color-developed images excellent in resistance to oil and plasticizers when used as a developer for heat-sensitive recording media. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I (A is of formula II to VII), e.g. 4,4'-bis(p-toluenesulfonylaminocarbonylam)diphenyl sulfide. The compound of the formula I can be obtained by reaction of 2 mol of p-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate with 1mol of a diamine corresponding to A group, or by reaction of 2mol of a P- toluenesulfonyl carbamate with 1mol of a diamine corresponding to A group. Heat-sensitive recording media using this compound as developer are also useful as sheets for facsimile, word processors and image printers for CRT respectively for the purpose of long-term preservation due to its conribution to the preservabilities. |
