PURPOSE: To provide a sanitary and easy to clean dosing apparatus which dose products such as non-uniform food products with high accuracy of their weight. CONSTITUTION: Dosing apparatus 10 to dose a flowable product 22 has a rigid casing 11 with an inlet opening 14 and an outlet opening 15. An elastic hose 16 is arranged in the casing and both ends of the hose 16 are connected to the openings. Dosing apparatus 10 also has a means to generate sub- and then super-atmospheric pressure in the space between the casing 11 and the hose 16 and two elastic rings 19, 20. Each ring is positioned to encircle the hose 16 at positions adjacent to the openings 14, 15. Thus the inlet ring 19 and the outlet ring 20 can expand and shrink simultaneously at the generated pressure. |
