PURPOSE:To provide a new insecticide containing a monohalogenated glyoxime derivative or a combination of the derivative with a dihalogenated glyoxime and useful for the treatment of medical machine, tool, various industrial water, skin of man and animal, etc. CONSTITUTION:This microbicide contains a monohalogenated glyoxime derivative of formula (X is halogen; Y is H or 1-4C alkyl) (e.g. monochloroglyoxime or 1-chloro-2-methylglyoxime) or contains a combination of the monohalogenated glyoxime derivative of formula I with a dihalogenated glyoxime at a weight ratio of preferably 1:20 to 20:1. The agent may contain other industrial microbicidal component (excluding 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one; e.g. methylenebisthiocyanate). The microbicide is preferably used in a neutral paper- making system of a paper or pulp factory using calcium carbonate as a filler. |
