CYLINDRICAL JACKET WITH ORGANIC CHLORINE-FREE COATING HAVING NO PERMEABILITY TO OXYGEN AND STEAM AND ITS PRODUCTION AND USE

PURPOSE: To provide characteristics necessary for producing Kochwurst and Bruehwurst type sausages by using a cylindrical skin containing no organochlorine based on a regenerated cellulose substrate coated with a polymeric chlorine-free steam barrier layer and a polymeric oxygen barrier layer. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical skin used as a sausage skin is produced from a regenerated cellulose substrate, an arbitrary primer layer, an organochlorine- free oxygen and steam barrier layer having steam permeability of at most 50 g/m<2> .24 hr, surface tension of <=34 mN/m and a thickness of 5-40μm and a chlorine free oxygen barrier layer having oxygen permeability of at most 120 cm<3> /m<2> .24 hr.bar, surface tension of >=38 N/m and a thickness of 5-40μm.
