PURPOSE:To provide an additive capable of giving a working oil which can be efficiently adhered to the workpiece, has an increased saturation amount of adhesion to metal and can markedly improve the workability of the metal when added to a metal working oil such as a rolling oil, a drawing oil, a cutting oil or a press oil. CONSTITUTION:This additive comprises a compound derived by bonding by substitution at least one group selected between RCOOR' and RCN [wherein R is (CH2)n (wherein (n) is an integer of 1-4), CH2CH(CH3), CH(CH3)CH2, CH2CH (CH2COOR') or CH(COOR')CH2, and R' is 1-18C alkyl] and at least one group selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, hydroxyalkyl groups, fatty acid residues, alkylphenyl groups and alkyl-substituted hydroxyphenyl groups to the nitrogen atom or atoms of a polyamine containing at least two nitrogen atoms in the molecule. |
