<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject carrier excellent in cell sticking ability and proliferativity, readily floatable by agitation in a culture solution, also not having resistance due to its collision because of being highly flexible and elastic. CONSTITUTION:The production method is composed of the following three process:(1) the 1st step: sponge scouring; (2) the 2nd step: the resulting sponge is dried and made into fine or coarse particles; and (3) the 3rd step: the resultant fine or coarse particles are cleaned and activated. The other objective carrier is natural sponge particles obtained according to the above-mentioned processes. These particles are 500-5000mu in mean diameter, giving weak alkalinity (i.e., 7<pH<=8.5) on wetting with water.</p> |
