PURPOSE:To provide a pneumatic radial tire which certainly attains reduction of the road noise in the high frequency range of 250 to 400Hz approximately. CONSTITUTION:The two ends of a carcass layer 2 are mounted on a left and a right bead core 4, and at least two belt layers 3 are arranged at the periphery of the tread part 1 of the carcass layer 2, and thus a pneumatic radial tire is structured, wherein a cord reinforcement layer 6 is provided in the buttless part S between the max. width part Wo of the tire cross-section and the tire width direction end Wb of the belt layer 3, and the weight of the reinforcing cord per unit width on the radial cross--section of the cord reinforcing layer 6 is made below 1.30g/mm while the cord angle to the tire circumferential direction is made below 80deg. |
