<p>PURPOSE:To provide a supercharger with a variable nozzle capable of maintaining the constantly smooth rotation of a driving ring without generating the sticking of the driving ring at the engine starting time. CONSTITUTION:In a supercharger with a variable nozzle formed in such a way as to change the vane angles of plural nozzle vanes 3 rotatably fitted onto the periphery of a driving ring, the driving ring is formed of half-ring shape driving ring pieces 6a, 6b divided into two on the circumference, and the respective driving ring pieces 6a, 6b are supported on a supercharger case by bearings inserted between these driving ring pieces 6a, 6b and the outer periphery of the supercharger case, and connected to a driving lever 10 through levers 6d, 6e fitted to the driving ring pieces 6a, 6b, and links 9a, 9b. Elastic bodies such as springs are then interposed between the respective driving ring pieces 6a, 6b so that the driving ring pieces 6a, 6b can be radially opened or contracted.</p> |
