Device for actuating awnings (2) for lorries, trailers and the like, characterized in that it is comprised of two longitudinal rails or guides (3) which run along the sides of the body (1) of the track, above the side walls; a series of carriages (5) mounted and comprised of two parallel vertical plates (16) joined by means of four shafts (17) situated at the corners of a rectangle, each of which carries free rotating wheels (18) which bear at the top and at the bottom on the rails (3) where the carriages (5) may travel; a rigid transverse truss (8) mounted between every two carriages (5) one on each side and, at least two foldable arms (7) which connect every two consecutive truss (8); a canvas or cover sheet fixed to the truss (8) and foldable arms (7), the carriages (5) on either side being related by means of both cables (10) which are fixed to the lower carriage and which are extended to the extreme carriages by portions which are connected to drums (11) which roll up and unroll synchronously in opposite directions the portions of each extremity. |
